Who doesn’t love a comfy, classic sneaker? And thanks to the athleisure trend, sneakers can be worn with pretty much anything these days. And, if you wear a small women’s shoe size, did you know you can easily convert that into a kid’s size to capitalize on cheaper pricing? Now is also the perfect time to stock up on fresh kicks for fall with all the back to school sales going on. So here’s the little trick I learned during my time as a poor college student scouring for cool kicks on eBay.
To convert your women’s shoe size to kids shoe size:
(your women’s shoe size) – 1.5 = (your kid’s shoe size)
For example, I like a size 4.5 women’s sneaker, so I would calculate my kid’s sneaker size as so:
4.5 (my women’s size) – 1.5 = 3 (my kid’s shoe size)
As always, read the reviews and sizing indicators to see if a brand or style runs big or small. For example, Puma tends to run small so a size 3.5 (kids) works better for me. Adidas tends to run a little bigger, so size 3 (kids) is better for me.
And here are some sweet, sweet kicks available in kid’s sizes to freshen your fall:
